Galentine’s Day is only the best day of the year. It’s ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas.” —Leslie Knope, Parks and Rec
I'm fortunate enough to be part of a community that celebrates women on a daily basis--at Shakti in the Mountains in Johnson City. They are putting on a Galentine's Day event Feb. 18. Reserve your spot by clicking on the button below!
But if you don't live close enough to attend, why not create your own Galentine's Day event? Invite your best gal pals and spend that time celebrating your female friendships.

Here’s my take on this: if you aren’t open to a more natural lifestyle and to making the changes necessary for that happen such as clean eating, exercising, quit smoking, etc., and you have high cholesterol, then a statin could very well save your life. But, if you are willing to make some changes, you do have a choice.
Drugs Do Not Address the Real Problem
The bottom line is that conventional medicine is approaching this problem from the wrong direction. Focusing only on cholesterol is side-stepping the real cause of cholesterol problems: improper diets and lifestyle.
The spiritual element of wellness can be the most personal piece of the puzzle when trying to place all seven dimensions of wellness together. Why your 5 closest friends matter (your circle of influence)
This belief really resonates with me. I’ve had to make some difficult choices in my life concerning people I care about, but who would leave me feeling drained or depressed after spending time together. My gut was telling me to run, but my heart was reasoning “they mean well, they’re just misguided.” I now listen to my gut and limit my time with them.
